5:1 แล้วบรรดาเผ่าต่าง ๆ ของคนอิสราเอลได้มาหาดาวิดที่เมืองเฮโบรน และทูล โดยกล่าวว่า “ดูเถิด พวกข้าพระองค์เป็นกระดูกของพระองค์และเนื้อของพระองค์

David Anointed King over Israel (1 Chr. 11:1-3)
5:1 Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.

5:2 เช่นเดียวกันในอดีตเมื่อซาอูลเป็นกษัตริย์ปกครองเหนือพวกข้าพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ที่ได้นำอิสราเอลออกไปและเข้ามา และพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสแก่พระองค์ว่า ‘เจ้าต้องเลี้ยงดูอิสราเอลประชากรของเรา และเจ้าต้องเป็นเจ้านายคนหนึ่งเหนือคนอิสราเอล’”

5:2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.

5:3 ดังนั้นบรรดาพวกผู้อาวุโสของคนอิสราเอลได้มาเฝ้ากษัตริย์ที่เมืองเฮโบรน และกษัตริย์ดาวิดทรงทำพันธสัญญากับพวกเขาในเมืองเฮโบรนต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ และพวกเขาเจิมตั้งดาวิดให้เป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอล

5:3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

5:4 ดาวิดมีพระชนมายุสามสิบพรรษาเมื่อพระองค์เริ่มปกครอง และพระองค์ทรงปกครองอยู่สี่สิบปี

5:4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.

5:5 ในเฮโบรนพระองค์ทรงปกครองเหนือยูดาห์เจ็ดปีกับหกเดือน และในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มพระองค์ทรงปกครองสามสิบสามปีเหนือบรรดาอิสราเอลและยูดาห์

5:5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

ดาวิดยึดกรุงเยรูซาเล็มและสถาปนาเป็นเมืองหลวง (1 พศด 11:4-9)
5:6 และกษัตริย์กับพวกทหารของพระองค์ ได้ยกทัพไปยังเยรูซาเล็มมายังคนเยบุส ชาวแผ่นดินนั้นซึ่งพูดกับดาวิด โดยกล่าวว่า “เว้นแต่เจ้าเอาคนตาบอดและคนง่อยออกไปได้ก่อน เจ้าจะยกเข้ามาที่นี่ไม่ได้” โดยคิดว่า “ดาวิดคงเข้ามาที่นี่ไม่ได้”

David Captures Jerusalem; Becomes Capital of Nation (1 Chr. 11:4-9)
5:6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.

5:7 แต่อย่างไรก็ตามดาวิดได้ทรงยึดที่กำบังเข้มแข็งแห่งศิโยนได้ ซึ่งก็คือนครของดาวิด

5:7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.

5:8 และดาวิดตรัสในวันนั้นว่า “ผู้ใดก็ตามที่ขึ้นไปตามทางน้ำไหล และฆ่าคนเยบุส และคนง่อยกับคนตาบอด ที่ถูกเกลียดชังโดยจิตวิญญาณของดาวิด ผู้นั้นจะเป็นหัวหน้าและผู้บัญชาการทหาร” เพราะฉะนั้นพวกเขาจึงกล่าวว่า “คนตาบอดและคนง่อยจะไม่ได้เข้ามาในพระราชวัง”

5:8 And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

5:9 ดังนั้นดาวิดจึงประทับอยู่ในที่กำบังเข้มแข็ง และเรียกที่นั่นว่า นครของดาวิด และดาวิดได้ทรงสร้างโดยรอบตั้งแต่ป้อมมิลโลและเข้าไปข้างใน

5:9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.

5:10 และดาวิดดำเนินอยู่ต่อไปและเจริญใหญ่โตยิ่งขึ้น และพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าจอมโยธาทรงสถิตอยู่กับพระองค์

5:10 And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

5:11 และฮีรามกษัตริย์แห่งเมืองไทระได้ทรงส่งพวกผู้สื่อสารมาเฝ้าดาวิด และไม้สนซีดาร์ทั้งหลาย และพวกช่างไม้ และพวกช่างก่อ และพวกเขาได้สร้างพระราชวังหลังหนึ่งให้ดาวิด

5:11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.

5:12 และดาวิดทรงรับรู้ว่า พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงสถาปนาพระองค์ให้เป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอลแล้ว และพระองค์ได้ทรงยกย่องราชอาณาจักรของพระองค์ด้วยเห็นแก่อิสราเอลประชากรของพระองค์

5:12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

David's Children in Jerusalem (2 Sam. 3:2-5; 1 Chr. 3:1-4)
5:13 And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

5:14 และเหล่านี้เป็นชื่อของคนเหล่านั้นที่บังเกิดแก่พระองค์ในเยรูซาเล็มคือ ชัมมูอา และโชบับ และนาธัน และซาโลมอน

5:14 And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,

5:15 อิบฮาร์ด้วย และเอลีชูอา และเนเฟก และยาเฟีย

5:15 Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

5:16 และเอลีชามา และเอลียาดา และเอลีเฟเลท

5:16 And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.

ดาวิดทำสงครามกับคนฟีลิสเตีย (1 พศด 14:8-17)

War with the Philistines (1 Chr. 14:8-17)
5:17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

5:18 คนฟีลิสเตียยกทัพขึ้นมาด้วยและกระจายกำลังออกในหุบเขาแห่งเรฟาอิม

5:18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

5:19 และดาวิดทรงทูลถามพระเยโฮวาห์ โดยทูลว่า “ข้าพระองค์จะยกทัพขึ้นไปยังคนฟีลิสเตียหรือ พระองค์จะทรงมอบพวกเขาไว้ในมือของข้าพระองค์หรือไม่” และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับดาวิดว่า “จงขึ้นไปเถิด เพราะเราจะมอบคนฟีลิสเตียไว้ในมือของเจ้าอย่างไม่ต้องสงสัย”

5:19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

5:20 และดาวิดเสด็จมายังบาอัลเปราซิม และดาวิดทรงโจมตีพวกเขาที่นั่น และตรัสว่า “พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงทะลวงพวกข้าศึกของเราต่อหน้าเราเหมือนอย่างการพุ่งใส่ของกระแสน้ำทั้งหลาย” เพราะฉะนั้นดาวิดจึงเรียกชื่อสถานที่นั้นว่า บาอัลเปราซิม

5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

5:21 และคนฟีลิสเตียได้ทิ้งรูปเคารพของพวกเขาไว้ที่นั่น และดาวิดกับพวกข้าราชการทหารของพระองค์ได้เผารูปเคารพเหล่านั้นเสีย

5:21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

5:22 และคนฟีลิสเตียยกทัพขึ้นมาอีกและกระจายกำลังออกในหุบเขาแห่งเรฟาอิม

5:22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

5:23 และเมื่อดาวิดทูลถามพระเยโฮวาห์ พระองค์ตรัสว่า “เจ้าอย่ายกทัพขึ้นไป แต่จงอ้อมไปข้างหลังพวกเขา และมาประชิดกับพวกเขาตรงข้ามกับหมู่ต้นหม่อน

5:23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

5:24 และต่อมา เมื่อเจ้าได้ยินเสียงขบวนทัพเดินอยู่ในยอดหมู่ต้นหม่อนแล้ว แล้วเจ้าต้องรีบรุกไป เพราะเวลานั้นพระเยโฮวาห์จะเสด็จไปข้างหน้าเจ้า เพื่อจะโจมตีกองทัพของคนฟีลิสเตีย”

5:24 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.

5:25 และดาวิดได้ทรงกระทำดังนั้น ตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงบัญชาพระองค์ไว้ และได้โจมตีคนฟีลิสเตียตั้งแต่เกบาจนมาถึงเกเซอร์

5:25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.
