9:1 พระองค์ทรงเปล่งพระสุรเสียงดังเข้าหูของข้าพเจ้าด้วย โดยตรัสว่า “จงทำให้พวกเขาผู้เป็นพนักงานประจำเมืองเข้ามาใกล้ คือทุกคนพร้อมกับอาวุธแห่งการทำลายในมือของตน”

God's Angels Behind the Destroying Armies
9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.

9:2 และดูเถิด มีชายหกคนเข้ามาจากทางแห่งประตูบน ซึ่งอยู่ทางทิศเหนือ และทุกคนถืออาวุธแห่งการฆ่าในมือของตน และชายคนหนึ่งในท่ามกลางพวกเขานุ่งห่มด้วยผ้าป่าน โดยหนีบหีบเครื่องเขียนอยู่ข้างตัว และพวกเขาเข้าไป และยืนอยู่ที่ข้างแท่นทองเหลือง

9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.

9:3 และสง่าราศีของพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลได้เหาะขึ้นไปจากเครูบ ซึ่งเป็นที่พระองค์เคยสถิตอยู่ ไปยังธรณีประตูแห่งพระนิเวศน์ และพระองค์ตรัสเรียกชายคนนั้นที่นุ่งห่มด้วยผ้าป่าน ซึ่งหนีบหีบเครื่องเขียนอยู่ข้างตัว

9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;

9:4 และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับเขาว่า “จงผ่านไปท่ามกลางกรุงนั้น คือผ่านไปท่ามกลางกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และทำเครื่องหมายไว้บนหน้าผากของชายเหล่านั้นที่ถอนหายใจ และที่ร่ำไห้เพราะสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนทั้งสิ้นที่ถูกกระทำกันในท่ามกลางกรุงนั้น”

9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

9:5 และพระองค์ตรัสกับคนอื่น ๆ ที่เหลือให้ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินว่า “พวกเจ้าจงตามชายคนนั้นไปทั่วกรุง และฆ่าฟันเสีย อย่าให้นัยน์ตาของพวกเจ้าปรานี และพวกเจ้าอย่ามีความสงสารเลย

9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

9:6 จงฆ่าให้ตายทั้งคนชราและเด็ก ทั้งสาว ๆ และเด็กเล็ก ๆ และพวกผู้หญิง แต่อย่าเข้าใกล้ผู้ชายคนใดที่มีเครื่องหมายนั้น และจงเริ่มต้นที่สถานบริสุทธิ์ของเรา” ดังนั้นพวกเขาจึงตั้งต้นกับพวกคนชรา ผู้ซึ่งอยู่หน้าพระนิเวศน์นั้น

9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

9:7 และพระองค์ตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “จงกระทำให้พระนิเวศน์เป็นมลทิน และจงเติมลานให้เต็มด้วยผู้ที่ถูกฆ่า พวกเจ้าจงออกไปเถิด” และพวกเขาจึงออกไป และฆ่าฟันในกรุงนั้น

9:7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

9:8 และต่อมา ขณะที่พวกเขากำลังฆ่าฟันเขาทั้งหลายอยู่นั้น และข้าพเจ้ายังเหลืออยู่ ข้าพเจ้าก็ซบหน้าของข้าพเจ้าลงถึงดิน และร้อง และทูลว่า “อนิจจา ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า พระองค์จะทรงทำลายคนที่เหลืออยู่ของอิสราเอลทั้งสิ้นในการที่พระองค์ทรงเทความกริ้วของพระองค์เหนือกรุงเยรูซาเล็มหรือ”

9:8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

9:9 แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “ความชั่วช้าของวงศ์วานแห่งอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ใหญ่ยิ่งนัก และแผ่นดินก็เต็มไปด้วยโลหิต และกรุงก็เต็มไปด้วยความวิปริต เพราะพวกเขากล่าวว่า ‘พระเยโฮวาห์ทอดทิ้งแผ่นดินโลกแล้ว และพระเยโฮวาห์มองไม่เห็นหรอก’

9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.

9:10 และสำหรับเราด้วย นัยน์ตาของเราจะไม่ปรานี และเราจะไม่มีความสงสาร แต่เราจะตอบสนองตามวิถีทางของพวกเขาเหนือศีรษะของพวกเขา”

9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.

9:11 และดูเถิด ชายคนที่นุ่งห่มด้วยผ้าป่าน ซึ่งหนีบหีบเครื่องเขียนอยู่ข้างตัวนั้น ได้รายงานเรื่องนั้นมา โดยกล่าวว่า “ข้าพระองค์ได้กระทำตามที่พระองค์ทรงบัญชาข้าพระองค์ไว้นั้นแล้ว”

9:11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.
