คนอัมพาตได้รับความรอด และได้รับการรักษาให้หาย (มธ 9:1-8; ลก 5:18-26)
2:1 และอีกครั้ง หลังจากผ่านไปหลายวัน พระองค์ได้เสด็จเข้ามาในเมืองคาเปอรนาอุม และมีข่าวประกาศไปว่า พระองค์ประทับอยู่ในบ้านหลังหนึ่ง

Paralyzed Man Saved and Healed (Matt. 9:1-8; Luke 5:18-26)
2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2:2 และในทันใดนั้นคนเป็นอันมากมาชุมนุมกัน จนถึงขนาดที่ไม่มีที่พอที่จะรับพวกเขา ไม่มี ไม่แม้แต่ที่ใกล้ประตู และพระองค์ทรงประกาศพระวจนะนั้นแก่พวกเขา

2:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

2:3 และพวกเขามาหาพระองค์ โดยนำคนอัมพาตคนหนึ่งมา ผู้ซึ่งถูกหามโดยสี่คน

2:3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

2:4 และเมื่อพวกเขาไม่สามารถเข้ามาถึงพระองค์ได้ เพราะคนมาก พวกเขาจึงรื้อดาดฟ้าหลังคาที่พระองค์ประทับนั้น และเมื่อพวกเขารื้อดาดฟ้าหลังคาเป็นช่องแล้ว พวกเขาก็หย่อนแคร่ที่คนอัมพาตนอนอยู่ลงมา

2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

2:5 เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นความเชื่อของพวกเขา พระองค์จึงตรัสกับคนอัมพาตว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย บาปทั้งหลายของเจ้าได้รับการอภัยให้เจ้าแล้ว”

2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

2:6 แต่มีบางคนในพวกธรรมาจารย์นั่งอยู่ที่นั่น และให้เหตุผลในใจของพวกเขาว่า

2:6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

2:7 “ทำไมคนนี้จึงพูดบรรดาคำหมิ่นประมาท ผู้ใดสามารถยกบาปทั้งหลายได้เว้นแต่พระเจ้าเท่านั้น”

2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

2:8 และในทันใดนั้นเมื่อพระเยซูทรงรับรู้ในวิญญาณของพระองค์ว่า พวกเขาได้ให้เหตุผลเช่นนั้นภายในตัวพวกเขาเอง พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่พวกเขาว่า “ทำไมพวกท่านจึงให้เหตุผลถึงสิ่งเหล่านี้ในใจของพวกท่านเล่า

2:8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

2:9 ที่จะกล่าวแก่คนอัมพาตคนนี้ว่า ‘บาปทั้งหลายของเจ้าได้รับการอภัยให้เจ้าแล้ว’ หรือที่จะกล่าวว่า ‘จงลุกขึ้น และยกที่นอนของเจ้า และเดินไปเถิด’ นั้น อันไหนจะง่ายกว่ากัน

2:9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

2:10 แต่เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้ทราบว่า บุตรมนุษย์มีฤทธิ์อำนาจบนแผ่นดินโลกที่จะโปรดยกบาปทั้งหลายได้” (พระองค์ตรัสกับคนอัมพาตนั้นว่า)

2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

2:11 “เรากล่าวแก่เจ้าว่า จงลุกขึ้น และยกที่นอนของเจ้า และไปตามทางของเจ้าไปยังบ้านของเจ้าเถิด”

2:11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

2:12 และในทันใดนั้น เขาได้ลุกขึ้น ยกที่นอน และเดินออกไปต่อหน้าพวกเขาทุกคน จนถึงขนาดที่พวกเขาทุกคนก็ประหลาดใจ และถวายสง่าราศีแด่พระเจ้า โดยกล่าวว่า “พวกเราไม่เคยเห็นการแบบนี้เลย”

2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

2:13 และพระองค์ได้เสด็จไปตามชายทะเลอีก และประชาชนทุกคนก็มาหาพระองค์ และพระองค์ได้ทรงสั่งสอนพวกเขา

2:13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.

2:14 และขณะที่พระองค์กำลังเสด็จผ่านไปนั้น พระองค์ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเลวีบุตรชายของอัลเฟอัสกำลังนั่งอยู่ที่ด่านเก็บภาษี และตรัสแก่เขาว่า “จงตามเรามาเถิด” และเขาก็ลุกขึ้น และตามพระองค์ไป

2:14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

2:15 และต่อมา ขณะที่พระเยซูเอนพระกายลงเสวยอยู่ในบ้านของเลวี มีพวกคนเก็บภาษีและพวกคนบาปเอนกายลงร่วมสำรับกับพระเยซูและพวกสาวกของพระองค์ เพราะมีคนเป็นอันมาก และพวกเขาติดตามพระองค์ไป

2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

2:16 และเมื่อพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสีเห็นพระองค์เสวยพระกระยาหารกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและพวกคนบาป พวกเขาจึงกล่าวแก่พวกสาวกของพระองค์ว่า “ทำไมเขาจึงกินและดื่มร่วมกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและพวกคนบาปเล่า”

2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

2:17 เมื่อพระเยซูทรงได้ยินดังนั้น พระองค์ก็ตรัสแก่พวกเขาว่า “บรรดาคนปกติไม่ต้องการหมอ เว้นแต่คนทั้งหลายที่เจ็บป่วย เรามิได้มาเพื่อจะเรียกคนชอบธรรม แต่บรรดาคนบาปให้มาสู่การกลับใจเสียใหม่”

2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

2:18 และพวกสาวกของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีเคยอดอาหาร และพวกเขาจึงมา และกล่าวแก่พระองค์ว่า “ทำไมพวกสาวกของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีอดอาหาร แต่พวกสาวกของท่านไม่อดอาหาร”

2:18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

2:19 และพระเยซูได้ตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “บรรดาสหายของเจ้าบ่าวจะอดอาหารได้หรือตราบใดที่เจ้าบ่าวอยู่กับพวกเขา ตราบใดที่เจ้าบ่าวอยู่กับพวกเขา พวกเขาไม่สามารถอดอาหารได้

2:19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

2:20 แต่วันเหล่านั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวจะต้องถูกพรากไปจากพวกเขา และเมื่อนั้นพวกเขาจะอดอาหารในวันเหล่านั้น

2:20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

2:21 ไม่มีผู้ใดเอาชิ้นผ้าทอใหม่มาปะเสื้อเก่า มิฉะนั้นชิ้นผ้าใหม่ซึ่งปะเข้าเพื่อเติมในรอยขาดนั้นก็ดึงเสื้อ และรอยขาดนั้นก็ยิ่งแย่ลง

Parables of Cloth and Bottles (Matt. 9:16-17; Luke 5:36-39)
2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.

2:22 และไม่มีผู้ใดเอาน้ำองุ่นใหม่มาใส่ในบรรดาถุงหนังเก่า มิฉะนั้นน้ำองุ่นใหม่จะทำให้ถุงหนังเหล่านั้นขาดไป และน้ำองุ่นนั้นจะหกออกมา และถุงหนังเหล่านั้นก็จะเสียไป แต่น้ำองุ่นใหม่นั้นต้องใส่ในบรรดาถุงหนังใหม่”

2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

พระเยซูเป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่แห่งวันสะบาโต (มธ 12:1-8; ลก 6:1-5)
2:23 และต่อมา พระองค์เสด็จผ่านเข้าไปในบรรดาทุ่งธัญพืชในวันสะบาโต และพวกสาวกของพระองค์ ขณะที่พวกเขากำลังเดินไป ก็เริ่มเด็ดธัญพืชไป

Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath (Matt. 12:1-8; Luke 6:1-5)
2:23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

2:24 และพวกฟาริสีกล่าวแก่พระองค์ว่า “ดูเถิด ทำไมพวกเขาจึงทำสิ่งซึ่งผิดพระราชบัญญัติที่จะกระทำในวันสะบาโต”

2:24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

2:25 และพระองค์ตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “พวกท่านยังไม่เคยอ่านหรือ ซึ่งดาวิดได้กระทำเมื่อท่านมีความต้องการและหิว ทั้งตัวท่านและพรรคพวกที่อยู่กับท่าน

2:25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

2:26 ท่านได้เข้าไปในพระนิเวศน์ของพระเจ้าในสมัยของอาบียาธาร์ผู้เป็นมหาปุโรหิต และรับประทานขนมปังหน้าพระพักตร์ ซึ่งผิดพระราชบัญญัติที่จะรับประทาน เว้นแต่พวกปุโรหิต และส่งให้แก่พรรคพวกซึ่งอยู่กับท่านด้วย”

2:26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

2:27 และพระองค์ตรัสแก่พวกเขาว่า “วันสะบาโตนั้นได้ทรงตั้งไว้เพื่อมนุษย์ และมิใช่มนุษย์เพื่อวันสะบาโต

2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

2:28 เหตุฉะนั้นบุตรมนุษย์จึงทรงเป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่เหนือวันสะบาโตด้วย”

2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
