Ethiopia in the Time of Israel's Regathering
18:1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

18:2 ที่ส่งพวกทูตไปโดยทางทะเล คือในบรรดาเรือต้นกกบนน้ำทั้งหลาย โดยกล่าวว่า “จงไป พวกเจ้าผู้สื่อสารที่รวดเร็วเอ๋ย ยังประชาชาติหนึ่งที่ถูกกระจัดกระจายและถูกปอกเปลือก ไปยังประชาชนหมู่หนึ่งที่น่ากลัวตั้งแต่การเริ่มต้นของพวกเขาจนถึงบัดนี้ ไปยังประชาชาติหนึ่งที่ถูกตวงออกและถูกเหยียบลง ผู้ซึ่งแผ่นดินของพวกเขาถูกแม่น้ำทั้งหลายทำลายเสีย”

18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

18:3 พวกท่านทุกคนผู้เป็นชาวพิภพ และเป็นผู้อาศัยอยู่บนแผ่นดินโลกเอ๋ย พวกท่านจงมองดูเถิด เมื่อเขายกธงสัญญาณขึ้นบนภูเขาทั้งหลาย และเมื่อเขาเป่าแตร พวกท่านจงฟังเถิด

18:3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

18:4 เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสแก่ข้าพเจ้าดังนี้ว่า “เราจะเข้าไปในการพักผ่อนของเรา และเราจะพิจารณาในที่อยู่อาศัยของเรา เหมือนความร้อนที่กระจ่างอยู่บนผักหญ้าทั้งหลาย เหมือนอย่างเมฆแห่งน้ำค้างในความร้อนของฤดูเกี่ยว”

18:4 For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

18:5 เพราะก่อนถึงฤดูเกี่ยว เมื่อดอกตูมสมบูรณ์แบบ และผลองุ่นเปรี้ยวกำลังสุกอยู่ในช่อ พระองค์จะทรงตัดบรรดาแขนงออกด้วยขอลิดแขนงทั้งหลาย และทรงเอาออกไป และทรงตัดกิ่งก้านทั้งหลายลงเสีย

18:5 For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

18:6 พวกมันจะถูกทิ้งไว้ด้วยกันให้แก่ฝูงเหยี่ยวแห่งภูเขาทั้งหลาย และแก่บรรดาสัตว์ป่าแห่งแผ่นดินโลก และฝูงเหยี่ยวจะกินพวกมันเสียในฤดูร้อน และบรรดาสัตว์ป่าทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดินโลกจะกินพวกมันเสียในฤดูหนาว

18:6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

18:7 ในเวลานั้น ของกำนัลจะถูกนำมาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาจากประชาชนหมู่หนึ่งที่ถูกกระจัดกระจายและถูกปอกเปลือก และจากประชาชนหมู่หนึ่งที่น่ากลัวตั้งแต่การเริ่มต้นของพวกเขาจนถึงบัดนี้ ประชาชาติหนึ่งที่ถูกตวงออกและถูกเหยียบลง ผู้ซึ่งแผ่นดินของพวกเขาถูกแม่น้ำทั้งหลายทำลายเสีย มายังสถานที่แห่งพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา คือภูเขาศิโยน

18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
