พระเจ้าทรงลงโทษยูดาห์เพราะเหตุบาปของพวกเขา

God's Punishment of Judah for Sin
1:1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

1:2 จงฟังเถิด โอ สวรรค์ทั้งหลายเอ๋ย และจงเงี่ยหู โอ แผ่นดินโลกเอ๋ย เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสว่า “เราได้เลี้ยงดูและให้บุตรทั้งหลายเติบโตขึ้น และเขาเหล่านั้นได้กบฏต่อเรา

1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

1:3 วัวตัวผู้รู้จักเจ้าของของมัน และลาก็รู้จักรางหญ้าของนายมัน แต่อิสราเอลไม่รู้จัก ปราชากรของเราไม่พิจารณาเลย”

1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

1:4 อนิจจา ประชาชาติบาปหนา ประชากรซึ่งถูกโถมทับด้วยความชั่วช้า เชื้อสายของบรรดาผู้กระทำความชั่วร้าย ลูกหลานที่เป็นผู้กระทำความเสื่อมทราม เขาทั้งหลายได้ทอดทิ้งพระเยโฮวาห์ เขาทั้งหลายได้ยั่วยุองค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอลให้ทรงพระพิโรธ เขาทั้งหลายกลับถอยหลังไปเสีย

1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

1:5 ทำไมเจ้าทั้งหลายควรจะถูกเฆี่ยนตีอีกต่อไปเล่า พวกเจ้าจะกบฏมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ศีรษะทั้งสิ้นก็ป่วยอยู่ และใจทั้งสิ้นก็อ่อนเปลี้ย

1:5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

1:6 ตั้งแต่ฝ่าเท้าจนถึงศีรษะไม่มีความปกติในนั้นเลย แต่บาดแผลทั้งหลาย และบรรดารอยฟกช้ำ และแผลพุพองที่เน่าเหม็นทั้งหลาย พวกมันไม่ได้ถูกปิดไว้ หรือถูกพันไว้ หรือถูกทำให้อ่อนลงด้วยน้ำมัน

1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

1:7 ประเทศของพวกเจ้าก็รกร้าง นครต่าง ๆ ของพวกเจ้าก็ถูกไฟเผา แผ่นดินของพวกเจ้านั้น พวกคนแปลกหน้าก็เผาผลาญมันเสียต่อหน้าพวกเจ้า และมันก็รกร้างไป เหมือนอย่างถูกพลิกคว่ำเสียโดยพวกคนต่างชาติ

1:7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

1:8 และธิดาแห่งศิโยนก็ถูกทิ้งไว้เหมือนอย่างเพิงในสวนองุ่น เหมือนเพิงในไร่แตงกวา เหมือนนครที่ถูกล้อมไว้

1:8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

1:9 นอกจากพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาได้เหลือคนไว้ให้พวกเราบ้างเล็กน้อยแล้ว พวกเราก็คงจะเป็นเหมือนเมืองโสโดม และพวกเราก็คงจะเป็นเหมือนเมืองโกโมราห์ไปแล้ว

1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

การขอร้องให้กลับใจเสียใหม่
1:10 จงฟังพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ เจ้าทั้งหลาย บรรดาผู้ปกครองแห่งเมืองโสโดมเอ๋ย จงเงี่ยหูฟังพระราชบัญญัติของพระเจ้าของพวกเรา เจ้าทั้งหลาย ประชาชนแห่งเมืองโกโมราห์เอ๋ย

A Call to Repentance
1:10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

1:11 “เครื่องบูชาอันมากมายของพวกเจ้านั้นจะเป็นประโยชน์อะไรแก่เราเล่า” พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัส “เราเอียนบรรดาเครื่องเผาบูชาของแกะตัวผู้ทั้งหลาย และไขมันของบรรดาสัตว์ที่ขุนไว้นั้นแล้ว และเราไม่ยินดีในเลือดของบรรดาวัวหนุ่ม หรือของบรรดาลูกแกะ หรือของบรรดาแพะตัวผู้

1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

1:12 เมื่อพวกเจ้ามาเข้าเฝ้าต่อหน้าเรา ใครร้องขอสิ่งนี้จากมือของพวกเจ้า ให้เหยียบย่ำบรรดาบริเวณแห่งพระนิเวศน์ของเรา

1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

1:13 อย่านำบรรดาเครื่องบูชาอันเปล่าประโยชน์มาอีกเลย เครื่องหอมเป็นสิ่งน่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อเรา บรรดาวันขึ้นหนึ่งค่ำ และบรรดาวันสะบาโต และการเรียกประชุมทั้งหลายนั้น เราทนอีกไม่ได้ มันเป็นความชั่วช้า แม้แต่การประชุมอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์

1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

1:14 บรรดาวันขึ้นหนึ่งค่ำของพวกเจ้าและบรรดาวันเทศกาลกำหนดของพวกเจ้านั้น จิตใจของเราก็เกลียดชัง พวกมันเป็นสิ่งกวนใจแก่เรา เราเหน็ดเหนื่อยที่จะแบกรับพวกมันไว้

1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

1:15 และเมื่อพวกเจ้ากางมือของพวกเจ้าออก เราจะซ่อนตาของเราเสียจากพวกเจ้า ใช่แล้ว เมื่อพวกเจ้าจะทำการอธิษฐานมากมาย เราก็จะไม่ฟัง มือของพวกเจ้าเต็มไปด้วยโลหิต

1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

1:16 พวกเจ้าจงชำระตัว พวกเจ้าจงทำตัวให้สะอาดเถิด จงเอาบรรดาการกระทำที่ชั่วร้ายของพวกเจ้าออกไปให้พ้นจากสายตาของเรา จงเลิกกระทำสิ่งชั่วร้ายเสียที

1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

1:17 จงเรียนรู้ที่จะกระทำดี จงแสวงหาความยุติธรรม จงบรรเทาคนที่ถูกบีบบังคับ จงกระทำความยุติธรรมแก่ลูกกำพร้าพ่อ จงสู้ความเพื่อหญิงม่าย

1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

1:18 บัดนี้จงมาเถิด และให้พวกเรายกเหตุผลด้วยกัน” พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัส “ถึงแม้ว่าบาปทั้งหลายของพวกเจ้าเป็นเหมือนสีแดงเข้ม บาปเหล่านั้นก็จะขาวดุจหิมะ ถึงแม้ว่าพวกมันจะแดงเหมือนอย่างผ้าแดง พวกมันก็จะเป็นเหมือนอย่างขนแกะ

1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

1:19 ถ้าพวกเจ้าเต็มใจและเชื่อฟัง พวกเจ้าจะกินของดี ๆ แห่งแผ่นดิน

1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

1:20 แต่ถ้าพวกเจ้าปฏิเสธและกบฏ พวกเจ้าจะถูกเผาผลาญเสียด้วยดาบ เพราะว่าพระโอษฐ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสไว้แล้ว”

1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

1:21 นครที่สัตย์ซื่อกลายเป็นหญิงแพศยาเสียแล้วหนอ นครนั้นเคยเปี่ยมด้วยความยุติธรรม ความชอบธรรมเคยพำนักอยู่ในนครนั้น แต่เดี๋ยวนี้พวกฆาตกรพำนักอยู่

1:21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

1:22 เงินของเจ้าได้กลายเป็นขี้เงินไปแล้ว น้ำองุ่นของเจ้าปนน้ำแล้ว

1:22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

1:23 พวกประมุขของเจ้าก็กบฏและเป็นสหายของพวกโจร ทุกคนรักบรรดาสินบน และติดตามของกำนัลทั้งหลาย พวกเขาไม่กระทำความยุติธรรมแก่ลูกกำพร้าพ่อ และคดีของหญิงม่ายก็ไม่มาถึงพวกเขา

1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

1:24 ฉะนั้น องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าคือพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา ผู้ทรงมหิทธิฤทธิ์ของอิสราเอลตรัสว่า “อนิจจา เราจะระบายความโกรธของเราต่อบรรดาปฏิปักษ์ของเรา และแก้แค้นศัตรูทั้งหลายของเราให้ตัวเราเอง

1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

ในอนาคตอิสราเอลจะกลับไปสู่แผ่นดินของเขาอีก
1:25 และเราจะหันมือของเรามาสู้เจ้า และถลุงไล่ขี้แร่ของเจ้าออกเสียให้บริสุทธิ์ และเอาดีบุกของเจ้าออกให้หมด

Israel to be Restored Later
1:25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

1:26 และเราจะคืนบรรดาผู้พิพากษาของเจ้าให้เป็นเหมือนอย่างตอนแรกนั้น และบรรดาที่ปรึกษาของเจ้าอย่างกับในเริ่มแรก ภายหลังเจ้าจะถูกเรียกว่า ‘นครแห่งความชอบธรรม นครที่สัตย์ซื่อ’”

1:26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

1:27 ศิโยนจะรับการไถ่ด้วยความยุติธรรม และบรรดาผู้กลับใจแห่งนครนั้นจะรับการไถ่ด้วยความชอบธรรม

1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

1:28 และความพินาศของพวกผู้ละเมิดและพวกคนบาปจะมาพร้อมกัน และคนทั้งหลายที่ละทิ้งพระเยโฮวาห์จะถูกล้างผลาญ

1:28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

1:29 เพราะพวกเขาจะละอายเรื่องบรรดาต้นโอ๊กซึ่งพวกเจ้าได้ปรารถนานั้น และพวกเจ้าจะสับสนเรื่องสวนทั้งหลายที่พวกเจ้าได้เลือกไว้

1:29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

1:30 เพราะพวกเจ้าจะเป็นเหมือนต้นโอ๊กที่ใบของมันเหี่ยวแห้งไป และเหมือนสวนที่ไม่มีน้ำ

1:30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

1:31 และคนที่แข็งแรงจะเป็นเหมือนใยป่าน และผู้ประกอบมันขึ้นจะเป็นเหมือนประกายไฟ และเขาทั้งสองจะไหม้เสียด้วยกัน และไม่มีผู้ใดจะดับพวกเขาได้

1:31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
